Changes for 2025

I have been doing a lot of thinking and planning over the last few months of what CNR Farms would look like this year. Many know that several years ago I decided to split by CNR Farms page into CNR Farms and CNR Doodles. My Australian Labradoodles staying on CNR Farms and my English Goldendoodles and Poodles moving to CNR Doodles. This decision was largely made after a couple other breeders suggested it would be easier for more targeted marketing which at the time sounded right to me. But the reality is I am terrible at maintaining multiple social medias and websites. My focus has heavily been on CNR Farms over these years as well as I have decreased the number of English Goldendoodle and Standard Poodle litters.

At the beginning of 2024 it had been a year since my last English Goldendoodle litter and I hadn’t really posted on CNR Doodles during that time. At the beginning of 2024 I decided that I would do 2 litters of English Goldendoodles that year and then I would retire my two English Goldendoodle mamas and not breed English Goldendoodles any longer. Then Libby’s litter was born in March 2024 and as I watched them grow and develop I slowly began to change my mind. My Australian Labradoodles I have chosen to focus on minis primarily and don’t have any true standard size Australian Labradoodles planned for some time. Libby’s litter was just so amazing and reminded me why I began breeding English Goldendoodles to begin with. My goal for each and every litter for the 3 breeds I do is to produce a temperament suited for service dog or therapy dog work. That was the temperaments I got in Libby’s litter and I began to think why would I just stop breeding these amazing dogs. The moms and dad being dogs that I raised from birth and selected them specifically for this. I continued to contemplate this decision and by the time that litter went home my decision was made. I will continue to breed English Goldendoodles but only have 1-2 litters per year. That way I have the option of Standard sized doodles for those looking for a larger dog for service, therapy, or a family companion. I want to maintain my lines that I have worked so hard to create though I know at some point I will need to use an outside stud or purchase a English Goldendoodle stud. I also know there will most likely be a large gap of time that I don’t have any English Goldendoodles. I haven’t held back a girl from one of my English Goldendoodle litters in 3 years. I am watching the girl in Masha’s current litter very closely though and she may end up being a future mama for us pending health testing of course.

With that decision to continue breeding English Goldendoodles I also then decided that it only makes sense for me to pull everything back to one page that way I can better manage it and be better about updating. So over the course of the next few weeks I will be consolidating both websites back to CNR Farms. I will also be moving all social media to CNR Farms though I will probably use CNR Doodles social media until my current litter has gone home to avoid any confusion with the litter and give people time to follow CNR Farms. I will leave CNR Doodles open on Facebook and Instagram just in case I need a backup page. The website will be redirected to CNR Farms for those that only knew our website that way. This consolidation just feels right as does continuing with breeding English Goldendoodles.

It took me years and trying a few different breeds for me to find the breeds that I really am passionate about so thanks to everyone who has been on the ride from the beginning as I added and took away breeds to my breeding program. I truly feel that Australian Labradoodles, English Goldendoodles, and Poodles are where my heart and passion lie. It amazing to see these breeds go on to be incredible service dogs, therapy dogs, and family pets changing peoples lives for the better.
